I get tired just watching Georgia, she's always on the go. The deer, getting wind of the hunter, escaped in the opposite direction. The teacher has somehow gotten wind of our plan to cut class. Mum's the word. We don't want Mom to get wind of where we are taking her for her birthday dinner. take a lot of doing 很费事 It took a lot of doing but I finally arranged for my wife to accompany me on my trip abroad. It may take some [a bit of] doing, but I think I can convince the boss to go along with our idea. |

Someone at the next table let out a big burp. get someone's goat 使人恼怒 That guy gets my goat. He's always inviting me out for a drink and then claiming to have forgotten to bring any money. It gets my goat the way some people push onto a train before the passengers on board can get off. I'll admit I shouldn't have hit him, but he finally got my goat with his insinuations about how I made my money. That chick's a real tiger. I was into the peace movement a little when I was younger, but my interest didn't last. I love philosophy. I'm really into Kierkegaard now. Tom is too much into cars to be interested in girls. French literature is interesting, but somehow I just can't seem to get into it. near-sighted 近视的 I'm a bit near-sighted. Our daughter has been near-sighted since birth. |
