OpenQ补丁已顺利打上，已经装gaim了，但是./configure时出现这个错误，怎么处理？

checking for gaim... Package gaim was not found in the pkg-config search path. 
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gaim.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH 
environment variable No package 'gaim' found

Debian testing
gaim是apt-get安装的1.5版本，且已经sudo updatedb，locate gaim.pc没找到任何东西。

我写了一个补丁修正了这个问题，但不知道怎么提交，我把我修改的内容贴上来。修改是基于openq-0.3.2，gaim 的版本是1.5.0下面是修改的步骤：
1. 运行"tar -xjvf openq-0.3.2.qq2006.patch.tar.bz2 -C /tmp", 解压下载的附件。
2。进入到openq 0.3.2的源代码目录里，运行命令"patch -p1 -i /tmp/openq-0.3.2.qq2006.patch".
3. 按标准的openq编译方法再编译一遍就行了。

我是菜鸟，openq编译方法能否讲详细些？
